During this time we have found quality materials, improved every stage and technology of epoxy table production, and managed to enter the international market. Manufacturing epoxy tables of oak

Using oak to make an epoxy table is a great solution. This species is very strong, less vulnerable to mechanical impact, and has high resistance to moisture compared to other types of wood. Manufacturing of epoxy tables made of walnut

Walnut is also considered a strong species of wood. Slabs made of it have a beautiful structure. It is highly valued in the production of epoxy tables and chairs. However, keep in mind that walnut products should only be used indoors. If you use it in the garden, it will last you much less.

Manufacturing tables of ash

Epoxy resin

Choice of final coating

The final coating plays an important role in the service life of the product, so you should weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each option

Creates more shine. An absolutely smooth surface of a tree that is not felt tactilely.
Creates a stronger protective film (the most resistant to damage is a semi-matte coating, but there is also a glossy and matte coating).
High-quality synthetic material is not harmful to health.
Not recommended for cooking surfaces.
Scratches and abrasions are more noticeable.
Professional repair in factory conditions in case of scratches and other damages.
Recommended for heavy use: bars, restaurants, stairs.
Leaves no traces of vodka, wine, water, boiling water and is easy to clean.
Direct contact with chemical liquids (solvents, alcohol, gasoline, chlorine, and alkalis containing chemicals, etc.) is not allowed;

Stages of epoxy table manufacturing

Making tables from epoxy and wood is quite a long and time consuming process that lasts 6 - 8 weeks (depending on the size of the product and other points

01 Choosing and preparing slabs

A beautiful table requires not only beautiful wood. It must be properly dried, in compliance with all regulations. The most important rule - the wood should be of 8-10% humidity. In the manufacture of tables made of epoxy resin, each slab undergoes a special drying technology, which is carried out in special rooms of our production. Moreover, it shouldn’t be a “rapid” drying, as this will have some negative consequences. The drying process in our manufacturing is moderate. If you are interested in the duration of drying, then there is no ideal amount of time, because it all depends on the species of wood, the initial humidity of the wood, size, and several other factors. This is not a quick process and can take months.

However, to save time in making epoxy tables, we have a large number of prefabricated dried slabs of different shapes: round, rectangular, oval, with a living edge that is appropriately selected for your size.

Next, we prepare the product for pouring the resin: clean the sides of possible remnants of bark, grind, and so on. This process takes up to 8 days. Then make the formwork for the selected parameters and fill the table with epoxy resin. Before designing a table, we take into account all the factors to make the table not only beautiful but also comfortable, so you can be sure of the final result and its quality.

02 Filling

At this stage, we take into account various factors, such as temperature, humidity, light, as it plays an important role in the final quality.

In addition, the choice of resin color and type of filling is an important component. In the manufacture of tables made of epoxy resin, we use one of the following types:

Opaque. Such tables look like two slabs that are connected by a layer of plastic of a certain color. They do not shine through at any angle and can easily display any color.
Pearl. It is a technology of combining several colors and pearl powder, it can either be translucent or opaque.
Transparent. The name speaks for itself, ie such tables transmit light and look like glass. It can also be transparent with a certain shade

For this stage, our production uses only high-quality and environmentally friendly epoxy resin, which is designed for three-dimensional fillings.

The time of complete drying of the resin and readiness for further processing depends on the size of the product, but for dining tables, it will be 10-14 days

03 Finishing, preparation for covering

After our filling has dried, we begin to cover the product with special solutions. We use lacquer coating (glossy, matte, or semi-matte) and oil-wax (with or without tone).

We usually recommend a lacquer coating, as it protects against mechanical damage better than oil-wax. It is important to note that we work exclusively with certified varnishes, so the final quality of the product is guaranteed. A more detailed comparison between these coatings is described here

Finishing takes about 7 days, and the final coating and polishing of the epoxy table takes up to 15-20 days. After all these stages, the product is ready to become the real decoration of your home
